Unlike typical mechanical screw keyboards, the M1 V5 series features a ball lock to secure the case and an adjustable loading force that can be changed by tightening the screws during installation to increase safety and stability.

Plate-mounted stabilizers
The M1 V5 VIA series now features pre-installed TPU stabilizers, a change from the original M1 that is intended to simplify the assembly process and make it easier for beginners to get started with the keyboard.
